This presentation will provide information on how to use the ASE
tools and features provided in the latest releases of ASE to monitor
your database, detect problems, and where possible, repair those
problems. How to automatically grow a database and segment when
a threshold has been reached will be included. Among the methods
described will be the use of XP Server, Job Scheduler, and the ASE
15 datachange feature. SQL and Shell programming code developed
by the speakers for use in a customer environment will be provided
to support detection of problems and automatic notification to the
DBA.
